Shampoo Your Makeup Brushes

Every time you swipe on your blush with a dirty brush, you add a layer of acne-causing bacteria to your skin. Cleaning your brushes is easy: Just suds them with shampoo, rinse them and hang them to air-dry with the bristles facing down. It will make your makeup colors truer too.

Coconut oil can remove your make-up

Remove stubborn eye make-up with coconut oil by warming a small amount of it in your fingers and massaging into lashes and around the eyes to gently cleanse it out."Coconut oil solubilizes or breaks up water-resistant substances used in eye shadow and mascara, releasing them from the skin and lashes, and unlike a lot of traditional eye-makeup removers, it'll even leave your skin softer and younger-looking: "It's great for your skin, because it moisturizes and smooths," Since coconut oil is solid at room temperature, scoop out a little and rub it between your fingers to warm it up first. Smooth that over your skin with your fingers, then wipe it off with a dry cotton ball and it'll take your makeup with it. (Just be careful to "avoid getting oil in your eyes, since it will temporarily blur your vision," ) Repeat until all of your makeup is gone—and then maybe one or two more times, because,  that vacation smell is good stuff.

Porridge oats can exfoliate your skin

Take a handful of oats and whizz them up in a blender until they are finely ground. Add a bit of yoghurt and honey until you have a sticky paste.

Apply on skin and leave on for 5-10 minutes. Then use wet hands to dampen the whole mixture and give your body an exfoliating massage as you gently scrape it off. Ground oats act as a gentle exfoliator and honey has moisturising properties, so this mixture will brighten and smooth the skin.

Cacao powder and avocados can make your skin glow

Mash up avocados with coconut butter and a teaspoon of antioxidant-packed cacao powder. Leave on the skin for 20 minutes for a gorgeous glow – your secret weapon for dehydrated skin. Plus tastes great!
