To become registered, we require the following:

• Professional training in hair styling and/or Makeup at a recognised training establishment. NVQ/IHHT/IHBC/MEDIA MAKEUP/SPECIAL EFFECTS

• Relevant experience as a freelance hair and makeup artist, Beauty Therapist

• Able to offer Makeup and Hair Styling (working with another professional if required), beauty treatments

• A portfolio of bridal examples of your work and/or testimonials from clients.

• Minimum £2m Public Liability including Professional Treatment Risk Insurance (This is available from a number of specialist insurance brokers. Professional Beauty Direct or the Guild membership.

Melissa Melody cannot guarantee make up jobs on film or tv shoots or bridal work

*The artist will be a representative of Melissa Melody and so will be professional at all times.

*The artist must have Public Liability Insurance cover before working with Melissa Melody (a copy will be required before leads are passed to you).

*Artists may terminate their registration but must give 1 month's notice

* A make up and hair test will be done before joining Melissa Melody This can be done at the studio.

I understand that by joining Make up by Melissa Melody I will representing the company and be working strictly in accordance with Melissa Melody's guidelines and price lists. I also understand that Melissa Melody will do her best to keep in touch with me for bookings but cannot guarantee bookings. I am interested in receiving bookings from Makeup by Melissa Melody and agree that I will pay Melissa Melody 20% of the total fee that I receive for the work that she arranges for me. I also understand that if any fees previously paid have to be reimbursed because the contracting party does not proceed or cancels for any valid reason, I will not be entitled to any payment. It is understood that Melissa Melody will not accept any responsibitites and costs incurred due to the cancellation of any booking. I agree to represent Make up By Melissa Melody in an honest and professional manner and am aware that I am self employed and that Melissa Melody is not responsible for my actions or any dispute that arises or is caused by my actions or activites.
